Lancer Battalion Maintains Top National Rating with 97% Accreditation Score

The Lakes High School Lancer Battalion Army JROTC program earned an overall score of 97% during its triennial Program of Accreditation this month. This score renews the program’s designation as an Honor Unit with Distinction and allows the battalion to continue wearing the Gold Star on its uniforms.
As one of the largest units in the Pacific Northwest, the battalion underwent a comprehensive evaluation of its leadership and academic knowledge. Cadet leaders were responsible for meeting all standards and motivating the battalion throughout the process.
Congratulations to the Lancer Battalion and its command team, consisting of Battalion Commander Elira Blanchard, Executive Officer Carly Palermo and Command Sergeant Major Louise Womack. The unit is led by Senior Army Instructor Lt. Col. Allen E. Patty and 1st Sgt. Raul Munoz.
